About Our Cemetery
A century of remembrance on Bolivar Drive
Our burying grounds were established on February 24, 1910, when a two-acre parcel on Bolivar Drive was sold by Mark C. and Cecelia Patterson to M. Nesselson, I. S. Levine, and L. Yampolsky, Trustees of the Bradford Tefares Israel Congregation.
The land was designated as a burying ground on the McKean County Real Estate Tax Map. Congregation members have been laid to rest there over the years, with the first interment in 1913. In August 2002, by-laws were developed with the hope of preserving the Congregation and Cemetery in perpetuity. Membership, then twenty-four families, had grown to twenty-nine by 2017.
